Be Green and Gorgeous
Our next swop will take place on the 9th May from 3pm – 5pm at Base Camp bar, Staunton Street, Central. Make sure you come along with at least five things to swap – be it clothes, shoes, books, DVDs or accessories. 60 dollars entry includes a free drink and all proceeds go to charity.
Stop the press – extra request, PathFinders (www.pathfinders.org.hk) will gladly and humbly accept any
childrens toys and clothing (zero to 18 months) or other baby supplies (main thing is that the stuff needs to be smallish as our mothers live in very very small spaces) .

Hong Kong has welcomed swopping with open arms in February and March after two very successful swop parties – Forever & Again has landed. Over 200 ladies (and around four fellas) have joined us to swap their trash for treasure. Everyone goes away happy, having abandoned unwanted items, cleared some precious space in their wardrobes and picked up, for free, some new stuff. Highlights have included Marc Jacobs shoes, gorgeous handbags, leather jackets, Miss Sixty jeans, Nike sportswear, H&M vests, Kurt Geiger pumps, books, accessories and scarves. Leftovers were taken to the Salvation Army in Wan Chai and donated to a school project to make recycled garments. We also made some money for charity.
If you could like to be kept informed about future events, please let us know.
So start saving up what you don’t need anymore to swop for stuff you want! You may also like to join our group on Facebook, search Forever & Again and you’ll find us.
May’s swap shop, a message from the organisers -
The next event will take place in Base Camp, LG 20 Staunton Street, Soho, HK.
We have moved our event to a Sunday, 9th May 3-5pm. 60 dollars entry as usual, with a ‘free’ drink on entry: wine, g&t, organic tea/ coffee [please bring a mug if you think you would opt for the latter in keeping with our recycling theme
Our friends there are offering a 10% discount on dinner if you would like to stay for some excellent Nepalese cuisine afterwards.
There will be free beauty sample give-aways and vouchers for beauty treatments available for all guests.
Remember to bring at least 5 items of used but not abused goods in exchange for your tokens.
Spread the happiness by telling your friends and asking them to join the FB group…the more guests we have the better choice available for swopping.
The charity of choice this month is ‘Room to Read’ who invest in children’s education.

All leftovers will be donated to the Salvation Army Hong Kong.
Hope to see you there.

Background
From a member of the team behind Green Sundays in London, with a little help from some cool and in-the-know friends, comes a swop shop for the fashionistas of Asia’s world city… We would like you to join us.
The rules are simple. Bring at least five items of used, but not abused, clothing and swap for something new (something new for you mind, not something that’s just rolled off the factory production line). Everyone’s a winner – you get rid of stuff you don’t any more, get stuff you do want and don’t add a single thing to the growing amount of waste we produce. This is recyling at its most chic.
So got a date to go to? New job starting? Need some new outfits but bit short on cash as it’s January? Coming swopping.
Saving the world starts in your wardrobe, literally – check out our tips for successful swopping on Queen Eco.
